I attended Langford's Mayor's Economic Stimulus and Marketing committee meeting last night and left feeling that the rest of the country has got it wrong. Far from giving in to recessionary talk, this committee is looking forward with plans to heavily market the City to the rest of the region under its new banner "Live the Lifestyle" - watch for full and double page advertorials in the Times Colonist, Black Press newspapers and the Real Estate Magazine.
That's not all, plans are afoot to make Langford even more attractive to visitors. Watch the press for some major announcements over the coming months. In the meantime, take in a Highlander's soccer game and sit in our new stadium. Recession? What recession?
